A British maritime agency announced on Wednesday that an oil tanker was struck by a projectile in the Gulf, off the coast of Doha. The agency reported some damage but no casualties.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) stated it received a report of an incident 17 nautical miles north of Doha. The report indicated that "an oil tanker was struck on its port side by an unknown projectile, causing damage to the hull above the waterline," noting that "the crew is safe."
The agency added that there was "no environmental impact" and that authorities are currently investigating the incident.
