DOHA – The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday that search and rescue teams have recovered six individuals out of seven who were on board a helicopter that crashed into the state's territorial waters. The ministry confirmed that all six individuals recovered have died.

The ministry stated that intensive search operations are still ongoing to locate the final missing person, with specialized teams participating in the effort.
Earlier on Sunday, the Qatari Ministry of Defense announced the crash, attributing it to a "technical failure." In an official statement, the ministry said: "A Qatari helicopter experienced a technical malfunction while performing a routine duty, leading to its crash in the state's territorial waters."
There is currently no information indicating a link between this accident and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Since the outbreak of the war following a joint Israeli-American attack on Iran on February 28, Qatar has been the target of several strikes, particularly aimed at its energy infrastructure.
