Iran Re-closes Strait of Hormuz Amid U.S. Blockade
Iran re-closed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday in response to the ongoing U.S. blockade, according to the Iranian Military Command.

Earlier, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, stated that his country would close the strait if the U.S. blockade was not lifted. He noted that maritime traffic through the strait would henceforth be conducted "according to a specific route and only with Iranian permission."اضافة اعلان

This move follows statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, in which he asserted that the U.S. blockade on Iranian ports would continue until both countries reach an agreement to end the war. This remains the case despite Tehran's previous announcement that it would reopen the strait during the ceasefire period.
