Explosions were heard in Tehran and power outages affected parts of the capital, according to Iranian media reports on Tuesday.

The Fars News Agency reported “power outages in parts of Tehran following the sound of several explosions.” Tasnim News Agency also stated that some residents in eastern Tehran experienced electricity cuts, with authorities working to restore power.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced early Tuesday that it had detected an Iranian missile attack targeting Israel.

In a statement, the army said: “We have identified an Iranian missile attack targeting Israel and are working to intercept it.”

For its part, Israel’s Home Front Command reported that early warning sirens were activated after detecting a missile attack targeting Jerusalem and central Israel.

Iranian state television confirmed the “launch of a missile barrage toward the occupied territories.”

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that air defense systems intercepted several missiles launched from Iran, while some fell in open areas without causing injuries.

At the same time, more than 10 explosions were heard in the city of Jerusalem.
