The military correspondent for Israel's Channel 13 revealed that an Indonesian force is expected to commence operations in Gaza in approximately 14 days. According to the report, an initial delegation of Indonesian representatives is scheduled to arrive in Israel during the second week of March to begin planning for the deployment of a multinational force in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation is slated to meet with U.S. and Israeli officials before entering the Gaza Strip for the first time.
This development follows a report by Bloomberg two months ago, which stated that the Indonesian National Armed Forces were preparing for the potential deployment of a peacekeeping mission to Gaza, with a force of up to 8,000 troops being readied for the task.
