American model Presley Gerber, son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has passed away at the age of 27.
According to official records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office, the death occurred on Sunday, September 20, 2026, inside a rehabilitation center. Neither the family's official spokesperson nor medical authorities have announced the direct cause of death yet, as medical procedures and the autopsy remain ongoing.

The family released a brief statement requesting that the media respect their privacy and silence during this time.
Born in 1999, Presley Gerber began his modeling career at the age of 15 and was the older brother of model Kaia Gerber. The late model had spoken publicly on several previous occasions about his personal struggles with mental health issues and addiction.
Kaia had previously discussed her brother's mental health and drug use in a Vogue cover story published in August 2026, in which the magazine described Presley's journey as a "decade-long struggle with drug addiction."
Speaking to the magazine, the 24-year-old Kaia said: "When something like this happens within a family, it levels everyone in a way," adding: "I think that's also why I started viewing myself as the child who doesn't cause trouble, and I refused to ask for help I felt that having two children needing care and attention would be too much of a burden."
Referring to her brother Presley's openness on social media regarding his mental health and struggles with substance abuse, Kaia noted: "My parents were extremely protective of their privacy for most of our lives and didn't share details with anyone. Now we have my brother, who has become like a true teacher, saying, 'I'm going to be a normal, transparent human being in front of everyone.' In the end, there's a limit to what you can hide from the world, and trying to cover something up only makes the other person feel like you're ashamed of them."
In December 2025, Presley posted a video on Instagram which he later deleted in which he spoke about taking medications including Xanax, Valium, and Buprenorphine, in the context of discussing panic attacks and his recovery journey.
