Jordan’s Ministry of Labor said Monday that nine working days remain before the deadline for regularizing the status of non-Jordanian workers in violation of labor regulations.

Ministry of Labor spokesperson Mohammad Al-Zyoud said the Cabinet-approved period for legalizing and regularizing the status of non-compliant foreign workers, introduced in June, will end at the close of business on September 30, 2026.
Al-Zyoud said labor directorates will continue operating daily until 5 p.m., including Saturdays, to facilitate the regularization process.
He urged employers across all sectors, including household employers, to regularize the status of foreign workers employed by them to avoid having a “deportation” notation entered into the Ministry of Labor’s electronic systems for each foreign domestic worker.
Employers found to be employing workers in violation of the law will face a fine of no less than JD 800 for each worker found working illegally.
