A total of 458 Israeli settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound from the Mughrabi Gate on Monday morning, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Hundreds of settlers, led by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, also entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday under heavy security protection and performed Jewish religious rituals in the eastern area.
The Jerusalem Governorate said Israeli forces were imposing extensive restrictions on media coverage of developments in the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards on the second day of the Jewish Yom Kippur holiday.
It added that Israeli authorities had restricted transportation and business activity in Jerusalem, imposed a comprehensive closure on institutions and shops, and introduced movement restrictions, citing the holiday as the justification.
