British musician Roger Waters, co-founder of Pink Floyd, has reaffirmed his support for the Palestinian cause, stressing that he will use every available opportunity to express his solidarity with Palestinians and defend their rights.

Waters explained that his position took firm shape following a visit to the West Bank in 2008, saying what he witnessed during the visit "was horrifying" and marked a turning point in his understanding of the reality Palestinians live under.
Although he has never visited the Gaza Strip, Waters has, since his West Bank visit, become one of the most prominent Western artistic voices to regularly address the Palestinian cause.
Over the years, he has taken part in international initiatives, events, and campaigns supporting Palestinian rights, and has used his interviews and concerts to draw attention to the suffering of civilians.
