Jordan’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing has invited bids for the construction of four new schools in the governorates of Madaba, Balqa and Ajloun, as well as the capital, with a combined estimated value of approximately JD 8.689 million.

The projects are funded through the second phase of a Kuwait Fund loan and are being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The ministry said the projects are part of government plans and programs to develop the education sector’s infrastructure and fall under the Executive Program of the Economic Modernization Vision. They also align with government plans announced by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan to launch and implement school construction projects across the Kingdom.
The projects are intended to improve the educational environment and provide modern school facilities that meet the needs of students and teaching staff.
The projects include:
Al-Nahda Secondary School for Boys in Madaba: Estimated at JD 2.4 million, with a construction period of 540 days and a total area of 4,504 square meters. The school will consist of three floors and a partial basement, with classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, health facilities, teachers’ rooms, a multipurpose hall, playgrounds, courtyards and other external facilities.
Salhoub Secondary School for Boys in Balqa: Estimated at JD 2.789 million, with a 540-day construction period and a total area of approximately 4,378 square meters. The project includes a three-story building with a partial basement, along with architectural, civil and electromechanical works, facilities, courtyards, a playground and external works.
Abeen Basic School for Boys in Ajloun: Estimated at JD 1.9 million, with a construction period of 450 days and a total area of 3,353 square meters. The four-story building will include site preparation and architectural, civil and electromechanical works, as well as a playground, parking area, walkways, fencing and other external works.
Umm Al-Hiran Secondary School for Boys in Amman: Estimated at JD 1.6 million, with a construction period of 365 days and a total area of approximately 3,188 square meters across three floors. The project includes electromechanical works, interior finishes, external courtyards, parking areas, car parks, shelters, accessible pathways, fencing and water tanks.
The ministry said it will continue coordinating with the Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities to tender and implement school construction projects according to approved priorities and needs.
The projects are aimed at supporting the Economic Modernization Vision, improving educational infrastructure and services, and providing students across the Kingdom with a modern and safe learning environment.
