Abu Ali expressed his appreciation to all taxpayers—including companies, establishments, service providers, professionals, craftsmen, and individuals—who have taken the initiative to register in the National Electronic Invoicing System and comply with issuing invoices through it.
He urged obligated taxpayers who have not yet registered to expedite the registration process and regularize their legal status, stressing that proper issuance of invoices through the system helps organize commercial transactions, enhance transparency, and achieve tax fairness.
Abu Ali explained that teams from the Enforcement and Invoicing Directorates will conduct field inspection tours to collect feedback from compliant taxpayers, monitor observations and suggestions, and verify compliance with the provisions of the system.
He emphasized that the purpose of these tours is not to impose penalties, but rather to notify non-compliant entities and grant them a one-week grace period to correct their status, after which legal measures will be taken against violators in accordance with applicable legislation.
He noted that the tours will cover all categories and sectors required to register in the system.
Abu Ali also confirmed that the National Electronic Invoicing System has been linked to the government “Sanad” application, enabling companies and establishments to verify that their local purchases are made from compliant suppliers. In addition, anyone receiving an invoice can verify its authenticity by scanning the QR code through the digital document verification feature within the app.
He added that the department has published the names of suppliers compliant with the system on its official website, allowing companies and individuals to verify the compliance of those they deal with. This step aligns with the amendment to Article (3) of the Expenses, Provisions, Depreciation, and Exemptions Regulation, which mandates the adoption of electronic invoices through the National E-Invoicing System. Implementation of this provision will take effect as of April 1.
Abu Ali concluded that taxpayers can review the sectors covered by the system via the department’s website, affirming the department’s continued provision of technical and advisory support. Assistance can be obtained by contacting the Taxpayer Services Center by phone or WhatsApp at 06-2222130, or through the department’s official social media accounts, for inquiries, guidance, and follow-up on electronic transactions.
