State television reported the release of "126 detainees under the age of 18 from Al-Aqtan prison," which had been used to hold members of ISIS.
The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), led by the Kurds, did not respond to requests for comment on these reports.
In recent days, the SDF has withdrawn from large areas in northern and eastern Syria amid clashes with government forces advancing in these regions.
