According to an official statement, the brigade, operating under the 210th Division, carried out military tasks in the Golan Heights and surrounding areas, as well as other parts of southern Syria, as part of what the army described as "defensive activities and diverse field operations aimed at deterring threats and protecting Israel’s northern borders."
This announcement comes amid rising tensions in southern Syria, where the Israeli army has intensified operations in recent months, citing efforts to counter Iranian presence and allied militias.
The Syrian government accuses Israel of continuing aggressive policies and violating the 1974 disengagement agreement by entering southern Syrian territory and attacking civilians. Syria continues to demand the withdrawal of Israeli forces, asserting that all actions taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void under international law, and calls on the international community to take responsibility in enforcing Israel’s full withdrawal and restoring the 1974 disengagement agreement.
