The banking sector rejected approximately 77,200 new loan applications during the first nine months of this year, with a total value exceeding 1 billion dinars, according to the latest data from the Central Bank of Jordan, reviewed by Al-Mamlaka.اضافة اعلان

The data shows that the total value of new credit facilities requested during the first three quarters of 2025 reached 10.732 billion dinars, compared to 8.781 billion dinars during the same period in 2024—an increase of about 1.951 billion dinars.

According to the Central Bank figures, the banking system approved loans and credit facilities worth 9.386 billion dinars in the first nine months of this year, while rejecting applications totaling 1.345 billion dinars during the same period.

The total number of new loan applications submitted across all sectors during the first three quarters of 2025 amounted to 316,000 requests. Of these, 239,000 applications were approved, while the remainder were denied by the banking sector.

As for the total outstanding credit facilities, from January through the end of September 2025, they reached 35.980 billion dinars, with the vast majority (89%)—over 32 billion dinars—granted to the private sector, both resident and non-resident.
