Oil prices fell 2% on Thursday after the United States and Iran agreed to hold talks in Oman on Friday, easing concerns over a potential military conflict that could disrupt supplies from this key oil-producing region.اضافة اعلان

Brent crude futures dropped $1.44, or 2.07%, to $68.02 per barrel by 03:35 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell $1.34, or 2.06%, to $63.80 per barrel.

Oil prices had risen about 3% on Wednesday after a media report suggested that the scheduled talks between the U.S. and Iran on Friday might collapse. However, officials from both sides later confirmed that the talks would proceed, despite no agreement being reached on the agenda items.
