AMMAN — Head of the wedding-venue owners union Mamoun Al-Manaseer said on Monday that the occupancy rate at wedding halls stands at 15-20 percent, according to Al–Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

The government may amend a number of defense orders, including canceling the limits on indoor and outdoor gatherings, especially wedding halls and restaurants, said Manaseer, adding: “This will reflect positively on the sector.”

The strict government measures regarding wedding halls prompted citizens to hold weddings on farms, Manaseer said.

“It is important for us to earn the trust of customers; we know that people are going through difficulties, and therefore our prices will be affordable and acceptable to everyone,” he added.

Minister of State for Media Affairs and government spokesperson Faisal Al-Shboul announced on Monday that the government is in the process of amending several defense orders with the aim of easing restrictions before Ramadan.

Some other measures are canceling the requirement to limit the number of people sitting at the same table in restaurants, and allowing Ramadan tents and charity iftars.
