Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mazen Al-Qadi, called on the Parliament’s Finance Committee to ensure the general budget is completed within the constitutional timeframe, emphasizing the importance of maintaining quality and accuracy during discussions. He stressed that rushing the budget process should not compromise the quality of its outcomes.

The remarks came at the opening of the first session of the Finance Committee’s discussions on the general budget with the government’s financial team.
Al-Qadi noted that the budget discussions coincide with the upcoming second phase of the Economic Modernization Vision, which aims to transition the national economy toward comprehensive and sustainable growth, ultimately improving quality of life.
He affirmed that the House of Representatives will continue to exercise its legislative and oversight role in monitoring the implementation of the Economic Modernization Vision on an ongoing basis.
