The agenda of the fifth session of the 20th House of Representatives’ second regular term includes 11 draft laws scheduled for discussion at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025. During the session, members are also set to elect the chair of the Parliamentary Financial Committee.اضافة اعلان

Among the key draft laws listed are the 2025 amendment to the Electronic Transactions Law, the 2025 amendment to the Notary Public Law, the 2025 amendment to the Law on Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Sites, the 2025 amendment to the Sharia Enforcement Law, and the 2025 Gas Law.

The agenda also features several other items, including the draft law ratifying the extradition treaty between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Kingdom of Spain for 2025, as well as the draft law approving the executive agreement for the evaluation, development, and exploitation of copper and associated minerals in the Abu Khashiba region between the government—represented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources—and Wadi Araba Mining Company, granting the company a license for exploration, development, operation, production, and marketing of copper and associated minerals for 2025.

Additionally, the session will discuss the 2025 amendment to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Law, the draft law ratifying the extradition treaty between Jordan and Uzbekistan for 2025, the 2025 Insurance Contracts Law, and the draft law ratifying a loan agreement between Jordan and Italy for 2024.

Deputy Speaker Ibrahim Al-Sarayirah confirmed that the election of the Financial Committee’s chair will take place on Monday, noting that two MPs are running for the position: Nimer Salehat and Suleiman Al-Kharabsheh.

He stated in a previous remark to “Al-Mamlaka” that there has been no delay in selecting committee heads, particularly the Financial Committee chair. He added that parliamentary committees would select their chairs and rapporteurs on Monday within the timeframe allowed by internal regulations, stressing that there is no delay in the process.
