According to Al-Mamlaka T , the ministers discussed the humanitarian truce that began in Gaza on Friday and the necessity of providing sufficient and urgent aid to the strip.

Safadi emphasized that the truce is a step in the right direction that must immediately lead to a permanent cessation of hostilities and ensure the entry of aid into all sectors, including northern Gaza.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon emphasized the important and strategic role of Jordan in achieving security, stability, and peace in the region. She pointed out that her country shares Jordan's concern about the developments in the West Bank.

Fajon called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, allowing the largest possible amount of humanitarian aid and relief to enter the sector. She expressed her support for the two-state solution as a way to resolve the conflict.

Cravinho expressed appreciation for Jordan's leadership role in the United Nations' efforts to stop this war. He stressed the need to extend the ceasefire and halt the hostilities, emphasizing that diplomatic and political solutions are the only way to find a resolution to the conflict in the region. He also reiterated his country's rejection of the displacement of Gazans and his country's support for the two-state solution.

The ministers will meet on Monday in Barcelona as part of the eighth regional forum of foreign ministers of Union for the Mediterranean countries, presided over by Jordan and the European Union. The meeting, originally planned, was agreed upon by Safadi and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell to be dedicated solely to discussing ways to stop the ceasefire and address the serious deterioration and humanitarian disaster caused by the war on Gaza.
