According to the ministry, participants are distributed across multiple tourist trips covering various governorates of the Kingdom, with the participation of several tourism offices, tour guides, and buses.
In August, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that the Golden Triangle destinations, comprising Petra, Wadi Rum, and Aqaba, topped the list of destinations attracting the highest number of overnight stays under the “Our Jordan Is Paradise” program.
The ministry noted at the time that demand was not limited to traditional destinations, but also extended to newly introduced destinations under the program, most notably Iraq Al Amir, Umm Al-Rasas, and Rehab.
The program aims to boost domestic tourism and encourage citizens to explore the Kingdom’s tourist destinations by offering a variety of tourism experiences at subsidized prices suitable for different segments of society. It seeks to reach around 220,000 beneficiaries during 2026, with a focus on increasing trips to less-visited destinations and supporting areas most affected by a decline in visitor numbers due to the current regional developments, particularly the city of Petra.
The program also includes expanding the participation of local businesses to more than 400 establishments, including restaurants, hotels, and tourism experiences, in support of the local economy. It also features more than 60 diverse tourist routes covering different parts of the Kingdom.
Under its new format, the program allows participants to book directly and take part using their own vehicles through subsidized tourism experiences available on the program’s platform. It has also expanded the beneficiary base to include Arab and foreign university students studying in Jordan, Palestinians from Gaza residing in the Kingdom, and children of Jordanian women and their spouses.
The program is implemented in partnership with tourism offices, tour guides, hotels, camps, the tourism transport sector, and handicraft and souvenir shops, contributing to the sustainability of the tourism sector and strengthening its readiness amid the current regional circumstances, while also supporting and empowering local communities and enhancing their role in the sector.
The program, for which the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities subsidizes trip costs by up to 60%, offers an integrated experience that includes free transportation on modern buses, accompanying tour guides, and meals, ensuring a comfortable and well-organized trip for participants. It also includes monthly events and festivals across all governorates, featuring cultural activities, bazaars, and local products, with the aim of stimulating tourism and economic activity.
