In a press statement provided to Al-Mamlaka, the Ministry explained that it has formed an Emergency Operations Room comprising representatives from the tourism sector and all relevant authorities. This committee remains in permanent session, coordinating with official institutions to take appropriate measures as the situation evolves.
The Ministry noted that tourist groups currently residing in the Kingdom are proceeding with their itineraries as normal, while authorities maintain close monitoring of flight movements and activities at archaeological and tourist sites.
Regarding future bookings, data indicates that demand has been affected by current circumstances, with a likelihood of cancellations over the next three months (March, April, and May) should the situation persist.
MoTA reaffirmed its ongoing coordination with relevant authorities and urged visitors and citizens to follow official updates. It also encouraged contacting the Tourism Police hotline (117777) to report any emergencies or request assistance.
