His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission. The meeting focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and the European Union, based on their Comprehensive and Strategic Partnership Agreement.

During the meeting, held on Sunday at Basman Palace, both sides emphasized the importance of capitalizing on available economic opportunities—particularly through the upcoming Jordan–EU Summit, to be hosted in Amman next January, in addition to the joint economic forum scheduled for next year with the participation of investors from both sides.
The discussions also addressed regional developments and the need to achieve a comprehensive de-escalation in the region while preserving the sovereignty of states. It was reiterated that the two-state solution remains the only path to achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
His Majesty reaffirmed the importance of upholding the terms of the agreement to end the war in Gaza and ensuring the flow of humanitarian aid, as well as halting unilateral measures against Palestinians in the West Bank.
For her part, the European Commission Vice-President underscored the significance of the EU’s partnership with Jordan and the shared commitment to deepening cooperation across various fields, highlighting the Kingdom’s pivotal role in the region.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and the Director of His Majesty’s Office, Eng. Alaa Al-Bataineh.
