The meeting reviewed investment partnership advantages and explored opportunities to establish integrated industrial collaborations between private-sector institutions in both countries.

During the discussions, His Majesty reaffirmed Jordan’s keenness to strengthen economic and trade relations with Vietnam, highlighting the Vietnamese experience in attracting investments and developing local industries, particularly in the garment sector.

The King, in a meeting held in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pointed to the opportunities available for Vietnamese companies to benefit from Jordan’s investment incentives, especially within special industrial zones dedicated to the garment industry, to expand their access to new markets.

Khawaja Aftab Ahmed, IFC’s Regional Director for the Middle East, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, emphasized the importance of the industrial sector in creating new job opportunities, noting that the meeting builds on IFC’s ongoing advisory efforts to support the garment sector, expand job opportunities for Jordanians, attract new investments, and enhance trade in alignment with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision.

For his part, Vu Duc Giang, Chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, expressed interest in organizing a business visit to Jordan to explore opportunities for market and product diversification, brand expansion, and joint investments, consistent with the trade strategies of both Vietnam and Jordan.

According to official figures, Jordan’s garment exports reached approximately $2.4 billion in 2024, the majority of which were destined for the United States.

The meeting was attended by the King’s Office Director Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Eng. Yarub Qudah, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Singapore Saeed Al-Radaideh.
