In an interview with Real America's Voice, Trump stated that the Iranian economy is in total chaos, explaining that inflation rates have surged to 300% alongside the collapse of the local currency's real value. This, according to him, has left the Iranian government unable to pay its soldiers' salaries, in addition to blocking access to international borrowing due to financial isolation and tightened US sanctions.
The US President outlined that his administration possesses three primary strategies for handling the Iranian file: observing the extent of internal economic and political deterioration within Iran, resorting to severe military strikes, or continuing to intensify economic pressure—a path he confirmed Washington is actively pursuing regardless of other options.
In another context, Trump touched upon what he described as a "major shift" in US policy toward Israel, considering it the most prominent change over the last quarter-century, after Tel Aviv previously held the strongest lobbying influence inside Washington.
Trump also warned of the outcome of the Congressional midterm elections, stating that a victory for his political rivals could open the door for what he characterized as "jihadists" taking control of the country's levers of power.
