The Public Security Directorate (PSD), in cooperation with Jordan Post and Alawneh Exchange, has launched an electronic financial transfer service for inmates in Correction and Rehabilitation Centers. This initiative comes as part of its ongoing efforts to develop services provided to inmates and their families and to advance digital transformation pathways to achieve greater efficiency and speed in processing transactions.

The service aims to enable inmates' families to transfer allocated funds electronically with ease and security, eliminating the need to visit correction and rehabilitation centers to deposit money directly. Transfers are subject to a weekly limit of 100 JOD, in accordance with approved controls and instructions.
This step forms part of a series of developmental measures undertaken by the PSD to expand electronic services and streamline procedures, thereby improving service quality, elevating user satisfaction, and enhancing operational efficiency within correction and rehabilitation centers in line with modern best practices.
Under the approved mechanism, Jordan Post and Alawneh Exchange will process financial transfers on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays of each week for delivery to the correction and rehabilitation centers. Direct cash deposits at the centers remain available to inmates' families as before.
The Public Security Directorate emphasized that launching this service reflects its continuous approach toward developing policing and correctional services and providing modern digital solutions that ease procedures for citizens while enhancing speed and accuracy in transaction delivery.
