His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, visited the Royal Engineering Corps Directorate on Monday.

In the presence of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, His Majesty listened to a briefing by the Corps’ Director on the Directorate’s achievements in general engineering support and unexploded ordnance disposal.
The briefing also covered methods of handling remnants of rockets and drones, as well as supporting engineering efforts along border fronts.
His Majesty toured an exhibition showcasing the latest engineering vehicles, equipment, and technical tools in use, and was briefed on a newly developed model of defensive trenches designed to strengthen the defensive capabilities of Border Guard units.
During the visit, the Supreme Commander reviewed the production lines of the Jubilee Factory for Defense Supplies, which specializes in manufacturing barbed wire used for border protection. The factory supplies all Jordan Armed Forces formations with their defensive and military needs. It was established under the supervision of the Military Housing and Works Directorate through the Arab International Construction and Contracting Company, owned by the armed forces, and built according to the highest international standards and specifications.
His Majesty commended the readiness, efficiency, and advancement of the Directorate, as well as its adoption of the latest technological standards, which enhance the professionalism of the Royal Engineering Corps.
