His Majesty King Abdullah II, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, visited Hassan Khalid Abu Al-Huda Comprehensive Secondary School for Boys in Zarqa on Monday, to review the status of one of the oldest vocational schools in Jordan, established in 1974.

His Majesty directed that the school’s needs be assessed and that its workshops and classrooms be upgraded in line with efforts to advance vocational education.

The King toured the school’s workshops with the Crown Prince and listened to a briefing by the school’s principal, Rami Bani Baker, on the implementation of industrial education and training programs such as carpentry, automotive mechanics, and air conditioning and refrigeration.

His Majesty spoke with students and teachers, wishing them success in the new academic year.

The school applies the British BTEC vocational education system, which combines theoretical and practical training to enhance students’ skills, prepare them for the labor market, and grant them internationally recognized certificates.

The school spans a total area of 35 dunums, of which 11 dunums are dedicated to buildings, workshops, and training facilities.

Accompanying His Majesty on the visit were Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi, King’s Office Director Eng. Alaa Al-Batayneh, and Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafzah.
