Jordanians spent JD15 million on cell phones via bank cards in 2023

AMMAN — The Association for Mobiles and Accessories Investors (Vision) reported that Jordanians' purchases of cell phones and accessories via bank cards reached JD15 million in 2023, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

 President of the Association, Ahmad Alloush stated that purchases in 2023 decreased by about 35 percent compared to 2022, which witnessed purchases via bank cards amounting to JD23 million. He attributed this decrease to what he described as a ‘natural market adjustment following the exceptional increase in 2022’.

Alloush further explained, "The significant increase in purchases in 2022 was due to the repeated postponement of bank installments, which occurred three times during the year, allowing consumers the opportunity to increase their spending on cell phones and accessories."
