He stated that "the commercial movement is slow and below the expectation and preparations made by the merchants for the Eid al-Adha season."

Al-Qawasmi attributed "the weakness of purchasing power to the high expenses and obligations on the citizen during the past period...the Tawjihi exams coincided with the holidays, and the different priorities of the citizen this holiday."

"A lot of offers and discounts have been made to avoid the accumulation of goods, and we witnessed stability in prices," according to Qawasmi.

Al-Qawasmi stated that "the postal parcels contributed greatly to the competition with the clothing sector, as it became unfairly intrusive into the sales method with the clothing market by exploiting the Prime Minister's instructions regarding personal belongings."
