The hospital commander stated, “The medical and nursing staff successfully carried out the operation with high efficiency, as part of the hospital’s ongoing efforts to provide advanced medical services to our brothers in the Gaza Strip, despite the challenging conditions.” He added that the surgery was conducted by a specialized medical team with the participation of anesthesia and surgical personnel.
A general surgery specialist explained that the patient required urgent surgical intervention because he depended on weekly blood transfusions, which had led to iron accumulation in the body and affected the heart muscle. The surgery involved a complete splenectomy after completing the necessary medical preparations, and it was successfully completed.
The patient’s family expressed their gratitude and appreciation, praising the humanitarian and medical efforts of the Jordanian Field Hospital staff in alleviating the suffering of Gaza residents.
