The hospital’s commanding officer stated: “Our qualified medical and nursing teams were able to carry out the operation successfully, as part of the ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive healthcare to our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip.”
For his part, the hospital director explained that the surgery was performed by a specialized medical team with the participation of surgical and anesthesia technicians, stressing that these efforts come within the series of advanced medical services offered by the hospital to the people of the Strip.
Meanwhile, the orthopedic surgeon noted that the patient had suffered a shattered fracture with loss of bone, which prevented natural healing, in addition to severe tissue damage. During the operation, the dead and infected tissue was removed, the anatomical structure of the bone restored, and the fracture stabilized using plates and screws. Bone grafts were also taken from the pelvis and fibula to fill the gap and support healing. The surgery was crowned with success.
The patient’s family expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Abdullah II, praising the tremendous efforts made by the hospital staff to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza under the difficult circumstances they are enduring.
