Rubio Assures Israel Has "Right to Defend Itself" in Any Deal with Iran

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio affirmed that reaching an agreement with Iran "remains possible" on Monday, while simultaneously emphasizing that Israel retains the "right to defend itself" under any potential deal with Tehran.اضافة اعلان

Rubio stated that there is "something very robust" on the table to enter into time-bound negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear file, expressing his hope that an agreement can be reached.

"We either get a good deal with Iran or we'll have to deal with it another way," Rubio added, stressing that Washington will give diplomacy "every chance to succeed before alternatives are explored."

The US Secretary of State also noted that the proposals on the table include what he described as the "ability to open the strait," in reference to the Strait of Hormuz.
