The Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) announced the completion of licensing procedures for the first company specialized in filling composite gas cylinders in the Kingdom (commonly known as plastic cylinders). This step paves the way for their optional introduction to the local market alongside currently used metal gas cylinders, reflecting efforts to develop the gas sector and expand consumer options using modern, globally certified technologies.اضافة اعلان

The Commission emphasized that introducing this technology is part of ongoing efforts to modernize gas sector services and elevate the efficiency of delivery to citizens. The cylinders have successfully passed all technical tests and inspections approved by competent authorities, ensuring their operational readiness and compliance with Jordanian technical regulations and the highest standards of quality and safety.

The EMRC clarified that storage, transportation, distribution, and handling processes will be carried out exclusively by licensed entities subject to continuous monitoring and inspection, in full coordination with relevant authorities, to guarantee the efficiency of supply operations and service stability across all stages of the distribution chain.

The Commission added that the composite cylinders will be introduced to the market without affecting the availability of metal cylinders or their approved distribution mechanisms. This initiative provides citizens with additional safe options that cater to their needs and preferences within a regulatory framework that keeps pace with development and enhances the reliability and stability of gas sector services in the Kingdom.
