— The number of Arab tourists visiting Jordan during the first half
of this year has surged by 45 percent compared to the same period last year,
reaching a total of 430,000 tourists.
According to data from
the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the influx of Arab tourists into
Jordan during the first half of the current year has reached 1.376 million, as
opposed to 945,000 during the same period last year, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
The statistics reveal
that Saudi nationals are the most frequent visitors to Jordan, with
approximately 471,000 tourists arriving from Saudi Arabia during the first
half. This marks a significant increase from the 332,000 tourists during the
same period last year. Palestinian nationals follow as the second-largest
group, with around 340,000 tourists, and Syrian nationals come next with
160,000 tourists.
