On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation – Water Authority of Jordan – through its Internal Control Unit, carried out a security campaign in coordination with Miyahuna (Jordan Water Company) and the Public Security Directorate to remove illegal connections on main water lines in the Dhahibeh area of Al-Muwaqqar District, south of the capital, Amman.

During the operation, several violations were detected involving unauthorized use of water networks. Specialized maintenance teams disconnected the illegal lines from their sources in accordance with legal procedures, and the necessary citations were issued.
The ministry explained that, based on available information and ongoing monitoring, the campaign was coordinated to remove the violations and rectify the situation. Official reports were filed to complete the legal process and refer the case to the competent authorities.
The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, along with the Water Authority, praised the significant support and cooperation of the Public Security Directorate and its units for enforcing the law and protecting citizens’ water rights.
