The works are scheduled to begin at dawn on Friday to ensure minimal disruption to daily traffic.
These modifications aim to improve traffic movement and facilitate vehicle flow by altering and relocating parts of the median island to increase the lane capacity, ensuring more effective traffic flow and greater flexibility in vehicle movement—particularly in this vital corridor that connects key roads and arterial streets and serves large residential and commercial areas.
Engineer Shadi Al-Rawabeh, Director of the Traffic Operations Department at the Greater Amman Municipality, explained that these works respond to field technical studies, which showed the need for engineering adjustments to enhance road efficiency and reduce congestion.
The municipality confirmed it will install the necessary warning and directional signs at the work site, in addition to deploying Traffic Department personnel on the ground to oversee the implementation and regulate traffic, ensuring the least possible disruption to daily movement.
