The convoy is part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support food security in Gaza and is coordinated within an intensive humanitarian framework to meet the urgent needs of affected civilians.

The convoy consisted of 36 trucks loaded with food items, which were gradually allowed into northern Gaza through the Zikim crossing. The region is currently suffering from severe humanitarian conditions due to escalating hostilities and repeated disruptions in supply chains.

This initiative reflects the JHCO’s continuous support for international organizations operating in Gaza. The World Central Kitchen aims to provide ready meals and emergency food assistance to hard-to-reach areas in partnership with on-the-ground organizations.

Utilizing the northern crossing represents a key logistical step in delivering aid to northern Gaza, especially amid restrictions on traditional crossings and a worsening humanitarian crisis marked by shortages of food, water, and medicine.

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization continues to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid through various channels, reaffirming Jordan’s steadfast humanitarian role in supporting the Palestinian people and responding to the growing needs in the Gaza Strip.
