Safadi and Barik reviewed efforts to solidify the ceasefire that was reached early this morning in Syria’s Suwayda Governorate, stressing the importance of implementing it to protect Syria, its unity, and its people — in a way that spares Syrian blood, safeguards civilians, and upholds state sovereignty and the rule of law.
Safadi expressed appreciation for the key role played by the United States in reaching the ceasefire and supporting Syria’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens. He reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to continued partnership and cooperation with the U.S. in this regard.
He also reiterated Jordan’s full solidarity with Syria, emphasizing support for its security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the well-being of its citizens. He stressed that Syria’s security and stability are essential for the stability of the entire region.
Safadi condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria and its interference in Syrian affairs, describing them as blatant violations of international law and Syria’s sovereignty, which pose serious threats to its stability, unity, and civilian safety.
