In this context, the recently launched Evening Licensing Station on Zarqa Autostrad has completed nearly 5,000 transactions related to driver and vehicle licensing in its first month of operation, according to the DVLD under the Public Security Directorate.

Captain Zaid Shdaifat, the station supervisor, told Public Security Radio that the station was opened under the directives of the Public Security Director. It is located on the Zarqa Highway – above Al-Jundi Bridge – allowing it to serve residents of both Amman and Zarqa, as well as commuters between the two cities and the general public.

He noted that this station is part of an expansion of licensing services that includes digital transformation, improved service accessibility, and reduced wait times—all in line with the broader administrative modernization efforts in the public sector. It is also one of several mobile stations launched by the Public Security Directorate and deployed across the Kingdom.

The station offers all licensing services except for the theoretical and practical driving tests. It has seen high demand, providing an average of 350 services daily, including technical inspections and various licensing procedures for drivers and vehicles. The station receives more than 250 citizens each evening, operating from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, demonstrating the substantial demand it meets.

The Public Security Directorate has also introduced evening licensing services at ten other locations across Jordan to ease access for citizens outside regular working hours. These include:

In Amman: Suweileh, Abu Nseir, the Amman-Jerash Road near Philadelphia University, the mobile licensing bus, Ghamdan Park, and the Madaba Bridge area

In Aqaba: Licensing yard

In Karak: Al-Qatraneh

In Irbid: Al-Hosn Road and Bani Kinana District

Citizens are encouraged to follow the official pages of the Public Security Directorate for schedules of both daytime mobile stations and evening licensing stations. The Directorate also announced plans to introduce additional licensing services soon to further save time and effort for service seekers.
