Jordan records 604 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 17, according to the Ministry of Health, while a total of 604 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 9,849 and the caseload to 737,888.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said:

262 in Amman
75 in Zarqa 
89 in Irbid
20 in Karak
1 in Tafileh
33 in Mafraq
22 in Balqa
9 in Aqaba
34 in Maan
35 in Jerash
20 in Ajloun

The ministry added in a statement that some 63 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 62 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 10,276, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 2.65 percent of the 22,814 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
