Jordan records 1,022 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Monday reached 33, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,022 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Monday, bringing the death toll to 9,125 and the caseload to 720,998.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Monday’s tally, the ministry said:

385 in Amman
161 in Irbid
129 in Zarqa
49 in Mafraq
25 in Ma'an
77 in Balqa
31 in Jerash
31 in Madaba
35 in Tafilah
27 in Aqaba
24 in Ajloun
48 in Karak

The ministry added in a statement that some 1,815 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 109 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 6,481, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 5.54 percent of the 18,455 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
