Jordan records 824 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 26, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 824 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 8,897 and the caseload to 712,901.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

288 in Amman
85 in Irbid
181 in Zarqa
45 in Mafraq
24 in Ma'an
13 in Balqa
19 in Jerash
24 in Madaba
75 in Tafilah
11 in Aqaba
23  in Ajloun
36 in Karak

The ministry added in a statement that some 1,302 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 122 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 15,485, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 6.22 percent of the 13,244 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
