Jordan records 1,815 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Tuesday reached 47, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,815 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Tuesday, bringing the death toll to 8,707 and the caseload to 706,355. Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the ministry said: 689 in Amman 429 in Irbid 170 in Zarqa 105 in Mafraq 101 in Balqa 54 in Karak 41 in Aqaba 47 in Jerash 43 in Ajloun 45 in Madaba 44 in Ma'an 47 in Tafilah The ministry added in a statement that some 4,085 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 106 others were admitted. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 22,436, according to the ministry’s statement. Around 9.63 percent of the 18,853 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive. Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the ministry said:

689 in Amman
429 in Irbid
170 in Zarqa
105 in Mafraq
101 in Balqa
54 in Karak
41 in Aqaba
47 in Jerash
43 in Ajloun
45 in Madaba
44 in Ma'an
47 in Tafilah
