Slight drop in case numbers on Saturday

The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached 91, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 4,042 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 7,130 and the caseload to 626,875. اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the ministry said that 1,757 cases were recorded in Amman, 929 in Irbid, including 63 in Ramtha, 222 in Zarqa, 133 in Balqa, 181 in Mafraq, 286 in Karak, 94 in Ajloun, 94 in Aqaba, 158 in Jerash, 144 in Tafileh, 41 in Maan , 1 in the Petra region, and 207 in Madaba,

The ministry added in a statement that some 8,789 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 321 others were admitted, bringing the total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients to 3,350. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 85,253, according to the ministry’s statement.

More than 9,192 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 14.02 percent of the 28,827 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
