In a brief statement posted on Facebook, the governorate said that demolition machinery, accompanied by teams from the so-called Civil Administration, had entered the Bir Al-Maskoub (1) area near Al-Eizariya, east of occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli forces also raided a number of Palestinian homes early Tuesday during an incursion into the town of Beit Daqo, northwest of Jerusalem.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing local sources, reported that Israeli forces carried out raids and searches, during which residents were intimidated and subjected to harassment. The forces also warned residents against being present in the Ain Jafna area to pick olives.
