Separately, Israeli forces fired tear gas from behind the separation and annexation wall toward Airport Street near Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.
The demolition in Beit Hanina comes as Israeli occupation authorities continue targeting Palestinian homes and structures in occupied Jerusalem, citing the lack of building permits while imposing restrictions on Palestinian construction and urban expansion.
According to the 2026 semiannual report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli authorities carried out 341 demolition operations across the West Bank, including Jerusalem, during the first half of the year. The demolitions affected 740 structures and harmed 923 Palestinians, including 546 children. Authorities also issued 254 new demolition or stop-work notices.
The commission said these measures undermine the social and economic stability of Palestinian families, threaten their right to housing, and push some to leave or refrain from investing in their properties for fear of demolition or confiscation.
Homeowners in occupied Jerusalem are often forced to demolish their houses themselves to avoid the high demolition costs imposed by the Israeli municipality when its crews carry out the orders, in addition to financial fines for building violations.
