Jordan records 1,272 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Monday reached 28, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 1,272 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Monday, bringing the death toll to 8,925 and the caseload to 714,173.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Monday’s tally, the ministry said:

394 in Amman
272 in Irbid
103 in Zarqa
61 in Mafraq
37 in Ma'an
50 in Balqa
37 in Jerash
59 in Madaba
65 in Tafilah
66 in Aqaba
57  in Ajloun
71 in Karak

The ministry added in a statement that some 2,699 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 122 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 14,030, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 7.89 percent of the 16,122 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
