Jordan records 19,123 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 19,123 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 13,271 and the total number of cases to 1,280,106.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 9,051 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,947 cases. Irbid registered 2,745 cases, Balqa 792 cases, Karak recorded 557 cases, Jerash recorded 522 cases, and Tafileh recorded 167 cases. Madaba registered 806 cases, Aqaba 380, Ramtha 14, and Ajloun 413.

The ministry said in a statement that 147 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 262 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 119,935 according to the ministry. Out of 68,047 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 28.10 percent of them came back positive.
