The average hotel occupancy rate in Amman, the Dead Sea and Petra for three-, four- and five-star hotels reached 38% during the third week of September, according to data from the Jordan Hotels Association obtained by Al Mamlaka.
The association said there are 166 hotels across the classified areas and categories, while data was provided by 133 hotels.
In Amman, the occupancy rate at five-star hotels reached 70%, covering 24 hotels, 21 of which provided data.
Four-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 55%, with 38 hotels in the category, including 32 that provided data.
Three-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 47%, with 69 hotels in the category, 51 of which provided data.
Amman had a total of 131 hotels, including 104 that provided data, with an overall occupancy rate of 57%.
At the Dead Sea, five-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 47%, covering seven hotels, all of which provided data.
Four-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 38%, covering three hotels, two of which provided data.
The Dead Sea had a total of 10 hotels, nine of which provided data, with an overall occupancy rate of 43%.
In Petra, five-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 19%, covering nine hotels, seven of which provided data.
Four-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 17%, covering five hotels, four of which provided data.
Three-star hotels recorded an occupancy rate of 2%, covering 11 hotels, seven of which provided data.
Petra had a total of 25 hotels, including 18 that provided data, with an overall occupancy rate of 13%.
