Jordan records 6,309 new COVID-19 cases, positivity rate stands at 16.91%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 6,309 new COVID-19 cases and 6 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 13,049 and the total number of cases to 1,129,995.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,811 cases, while Zarqa recorded 653 cases. Irbid registered 643 cases, Balqa 337 cases, Karak recorded 58 cases, Jerash recorded 141 cases, and Tafileh recorded 16 cases. Madaba registered 162 cases, Aqaba 100, Ramtha 67, and Ajloun 104.

The ministry said in a statement that 103 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 122 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 43,511 according to the ministry. Out of 37,309 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 16.91 percent of them came back positive.
